Oh, where but for elitism would I...

So, as some of you may know, we bid farewell to three members of [thnx] clan this week:

1) C_M3_Ki11_U

2) TigerKingTony

3) CentralSlash

A few of you may be a bit disheartened at the fact that, yes, these players were some of our best skilled. But as we all know in the great, vast world of video games,being a great player does not always come with having a great attitude.

My friends, I've come across elitist gamers ever since I was a little baby boy in the gaming world; The sorry saps who claim a video game identity to that of being the extremely disliked co-worker whom everyone wishes would be struck by lightning before work. The players who strip the fun out of gaming and in place put a staple for competitiveness, nasty attitudes, and an extreme case of elitism to boot. The mindset carries through like a virus to all sorts of areas of the geek world. In artistry in general, comic books, video games, music, reading...Sadly, there are extremely peaceful geeks, and then there are the geeks who feel they have the answer for us at all times, they are the right ones, the "Godly" gamers/"Intelligent" comic book readers/"Brilliant" painters/"Incredible" artists/"Stupendous" music fans etc, they are the ELITISTS!!

You have to love how long they've been around also!

With that I give you a brief reasoning behind our friends leaving: Long story short, late Saturday night, we were tricked by a truly evil clan into losing 10 valor to start. On top of this, we were then tricked into scheduling a clan match with them for Sunday night/Monday morning at 12:45 A.M. Seeing no chance for many members to be able to make it to the clan war, we decided to chalk it up as a loss. Our three friends didn't.

Two of them proceeded to stay up for the 12:45 A.M. call that Monday morning without informing any other members. Losing the clan war for which nobody else cared to play, the members could not deal with the loss and my "F'ing terrible leadership" and decided to break away from us, beginning a new clan immediately. With them bringing their third little toadie.

In the end we learn a good lesson on recruiting. Try to stay sharp on a players attitude. For the record, I recruited this batch of low lives, and I'll do my best to prevent it from happening again. We have to weed out the elitists from the peacefuls in the future, and I do beleve with our current crew we have found some phenominally peaceful people!
